Octotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s:Wellington

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Octotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Update (17/10/2025 @ 19:28):

Octotel engineers have commenced with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

ETR for complete restoration: ±.3.5hrs

Update (17/10/2025 @ 17:07):

Octotel's engineers are currently on-site, assessing the damage across our fibre infrastructure. Once all the damage is pinpointed, we'll provide an estimated ETR for the full restoration process.

 

Update (17/10/2025 @ 15:52):

Octotel technicians are observing an issue affecting certain customers in the Wellington area . More updates to follow.
