Octotel is currently experiencing the following issue: 

 

Start Date & Time: 19/05/2025 @12:29

Affected Area/s: Grand Estate and Hansmoekraal

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Octotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (19/05/2025 17:48):

Octotel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 19/05/2025 17:44. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

 

Update (19/05/2025 @13:59):

Octotel Engineers have located the point of the break and have commenced with the fibre repairs to restore connectivity to the affected customers. ETR for complete restoration +6hrs 

 

Update (19/05/2025 @ 15:35):

Octotel engineers are still in progress with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

ETR for complete restoration: +-5 hours

Further updates to follow as our team makes progress.
