Openfibre is currently experiencing the following issue:  

 

Start Date & Time: 17/05/2026 @ 13:42

Affected Area: Garden Walk 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Openfibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

Update (18/05/2026 @ 14:31): 

OpenFibre has confirmed all the services at Garden Walk Mall have been successfully restored. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

 

Update (18/05/2026 @ 10:49):

Openfibre's upstream provider has informed of us of a delay in getting to the site. A new ETA of 12:30 has been provided. They are currently engaged with them on this for a quicker ETA due to the length of time the site has been down. Further updates to follow once

 techs are on-site.

 

Update (18/05/2026 @ 07:38):

Kindly be advise that an ETA of 09:00am has been confirmed by our upstream provider, further updates to be shared.

 

Update (18/05/2026 @ 01:07):

Openfibre technicians are being finalised for the on-site investigation. Once an ETA has been confirmed, we will update you

Openfibre teams are actively investigating the fault. Further updates to follow
