Open fibre Technicians have had to leave site due to safety, teams will be back onsite tomorrow morning.

Open fibre technical teams are currently on site and actively working to localize the fault. The matter remains under investigation.

Kindly note that spares are being collected in order to repair the MDU. An ETA of 17:00 has been shared for the spares to reach the site.
No ETR is currently available and further feedback will be shared.

Open Fibre confirmed the maintenance teams have advised that additional spares are required to restore the link. The MDU is currently being configured and will thereafter be dispatched to the Free State.
They are currently awaiting the vendor’s confirmed ETA and will continue to provide progressive updates as more information becomes available.

Please be advised that the issue has been re-escalated to the Openfibre vendor. It appears that VLANs are missing following the power restoration from earlier on.
