Open fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s:Dihlabeng Mall

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Open fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 15:06):

Kindly note that technicians are currently on site investigating the fault.  No ETR is currently available and further feedback will be shared.

Update (14/01/2026 @ 08:40):

We have received an ETA from our upstream provider of 12:00 for technicians to arrive back at the break site to resolve completely. We will push for an ETR once their teams are on-site and provide updates as we receive them.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 07:33):

We have received communications from our upstream provider that services have gone down due to a fibre cable break on their network. They are working to resolve the matter, but have not provided an ETR at this time. We will continue to follow up as a priority and provide further updates once received.

 

Update (13/01/2026 @ 23:54): 

Kindly be advised that Open Fibre teams are still investigating the cause of the outage and we are still awaiting updates, further feedback will be shared once received.
