Vumatel technicians have planted the manhole and are almost done preparing the joints for splicing.

Vumatel technicians identified several affected tubes and will mitigate the issue by looping the unaffected tubes and splicing through the damaged sections.

Vumatel technician has advised that the whole 144fibre link cable that's feeding Zone 5 has been impacted. Teams will resume with troubleshooting first thing tomorrow morning.
