Vumatel confirmed that ongoing heavy rainfall continues to delay the repair works. A further update will be issued at 12h00.

An overhead fiber optic cable was damaged by tree fellers approximately 24.32 km from Nzhelele, along the route between Sibasa and Tshirenzheni. Heavy rainfall is delaying repair efforts. The Vumatel contractor is on site and assessing suitable repair options.
