Linklayer is currently experiencing the following issue:

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

Linklayer technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

2x 144 fibre cables
Damage is along the bridge at Moore and Sydney Road 

Cables were damaged in several places along the bridge
Civils pulling slack and installing a piece of cable to bypass the damages

No ETR has been shared but we are pushing for one from escalation team

“Linklayer Teams are still installing the cable, no ETR has been provided as of yet. Detailed information regarding the current ongoing repairs have been requested from the team onsite and will be provided in the next update window.”

Linklayer Civils team, fibre team and planning team are all currently onsite and busy with investigations, ETR to be provided once repairs begin and investigations are concluded”

Police, security teams, civils team, fibre team and planning teams are on route to site to make a plan to try and resolve this issue. Please be patient and be assured that we are working towards a resolution as quick as we can.

Please note that the team has advised that their cable has been damaged in multiple locations. Due to safety concerns, they were unable to repair the fibre overnight.

They will continue this morning.
