Update 05/05/2022 at 15:00: Metrofibre has confirmed that all upgrades and speed changes have been completed. Should you still be having issues with your speeds, please be sure to log a ticket with our support team at support@coolideas.co.za. Before logging your speed issue, please be sure that you have rebooted your router and fibre box (ONT). If you are still experiencing issues, please include a speedtest from a device directly cabled to your router (where possible) to ensure that your query is resolved as soon as possible.

Update 30/04/2022 at 10:00: Upgrade speeds have been applied by Cool
Ideas, customers may need to reboot their router for the speeds to
update on their connection. Once MetroFibre has completed and confirmed
the changes on their side, customers will then be able to take advantage
of their new speeds.

Customers in the following areas will not be able to achieve 500Mbps+ speeds until Metrofibre has completed equipment upgrades:
- FRDN (Farenden str)
- Glen Erasmia
- MDFN (Modderfontein)
- MKWS (Makwassie)
- NTHL (Nottinghill complex)
- TOTI (Amanzimtoti)
- WRDV (Worldsview complex)
There is currently no ETA for these upgrades. As soon as MetroFibre has provided further information on these upgrades, Cool Ideas will be sure to communicate this to customers.
