Octotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Kraaifontein, Cape Gate 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Octotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment

 

 

 

Update (24/03/2026 @23:33):

Octotel engineers have completed the fibre repairs works. Please have those customers still offline reboot their ONT and routers and retest the connection. 

 

Update (24/03/2026 @22:00):

Octotel engineers have commenced with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

 

Update (24/03/2026 @21:02):

Octotel engineers have commenced with the repairs to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

 

Update (24/03/2026 @19:58):

Octotel's engineers are currently on-site, assessing the damage across our fibre infrastructure. Once all the damage is pinpointed, they'll provide an estimated ETR for the full restoration process.
