Octotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Grabouw  

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Octotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Octotel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 21/04/2026 @ 09:06. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

Octotel  technicians continue to work on cable repairs. 

 

Update (21/04/2026 @ 07:09):  

 Partner provider technicians have localized the point of failure. Repairs are underway and technicians are preparing to splice. 

 

Update (21/04/2026 @ 00:05):  

Partner provider technicians have identified a potential fault and are currently en route to the point of failure for further investigation.

Currently no ETA available.
