Vumatel technicians have confirmed that the cable break was caused by vandalism. Repair work is currently in progress but is dependent on weather conditions. Further updates will be provided at 12:00.

Vumatel Incident problem 11161061 at Pritchard St & Witkoppen Rd, Bryanston: Civil trench work for a 2m × 2m handhole (ETA 1h, ETR 6h) followed by fibre work (ETA onsite, ETR 20h, weather dependent). Total restoration ~30 hours, estimated completion 08 Nov 2025, 14:00.
