Please take note of a Liquid Urgent Planned Change scheduled at Union-Vereeniging ( Henley on klip- Meyerton) to replace a partially damaged 300m 48-core optic fibre cable between Meyerton and Henley-on-Klip. The services between Meyerton and Henley-on-Klip are vulnerable as the cable sheath has burnt and might get further damaged if left for long. Replacing this cable will mitigate the risk of sudden loss of optical signal, which might occur abruptly because of shock from a foreign source.
IMPACT: Services will be down for a maximum duration of 6 hours.
