Linklayer is currently experiencing the following issue:

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Linklayer technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 

Update (14/01/2026@ 15:15):  

 Linklayer confirmed that this outage was resolved on 14/01/2026@ 15:15. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues. 

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 13:54):

Please kindly note we see the sites restoring and will continue monitoring them until our upstream provider has completed the repairs.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 13:00):

 Please note that the ETR provided by LA is 15:30. More updates to follow.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 11:40):

Damages have been located by our upstream provider. We have requested an ETR and will provide this as soon as possible.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 10:27):

Kindly note that our upstream providers team confirmed a fibre disconnect at +/- 28 kms from their point of presence. The team is currently localizing the break and will provide an estimated restoration time as soon as the damages have been assessed.

 

Update (14/01/2026 @ 08:41):

Technicians will be on site on site +/ - 45 minutes. Once they have located the point of the break, a further update will be provided.
