Evotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area: Virginia 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Evotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 Evotel  confirmed that this outage was resolved on 29/04/2026@ 20:06. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues. 

 

Update (29/04/2026 @ 17:02): 

Our technical team is still on site, splicing the affected cable to restore service to the remaining impacted clients. Significant progress has been made, and majority of the clients are back online. Our team is committed to resolving the issue as quickly as possible and will provide further updates as progress continues.

Significant progress has been made, and some clients are already beginning to come back online. Evotel technical team remains on site, splicing the affected cable to restore service to the remaining impacted clients. Significant progress has been made, and some clients are already beginning to come back online. Evotel technical team is back on site and continuing with restoration efforts. They are currently splicing the final tube, and we anticipate that all remaining clients will be reconnected shortly.

Repairs are ongoing. Evotel apologises for the extended downtime, but Evotel teams will remain on site during the night. Thank you for your patience. Delays will be communicated at the times indicated below.

The Evotel team is still on the ground and splicing work is currently still underway as part of the ongoing repair process. Progress is being made to restore all affected connections as quickly and safely as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
