Linklayer is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Tongaat

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Linklayer technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Linklayer confirmed that this outage was resolved on 17/07/2025 @ 23:43. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues.

 

Update (17/07/2025 @ 21:09):

Kindly note that our upstream provider has conducted testing and has confirmed a fibre disconnect +/- 2.5Kms from their distribution node.

They are currently on route to investigate the break further. Please be assured that we are requesting updates regularly and we will provide them as they are available.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

Further updates will be provided as soon as possible.

 The matter has been escalated to our upstream provider and we have requested urgent feedback and resolution. We do apologise for the inconvenience caused and will provide an update as soon as it is available.

Please note that our upstream provider has confirmed that they are on route to investigate the issue and the technician estimated time of arrival is +/- 45 minutes.
