Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 Kindly note that technicians will be attending to the remaining fallout cases this morning. Further updates will be provided by 12:00.

 Repairs placed on hold and will resume tomorrow morning due to safety.

Technicians are onsite troubleshooting fallouts

 Technicians have completed splicing the links and are now confirming fallouts

 Technicians have 4 tubes left on side B. Side A is complete.

Vumatel technicians are completing last tube on side A and six tubes are left to be spliced on side B.

Side B 9 tube's left to be spliced and side A 3 tubes left to be spliced

 5th tubes spliced on site A, Splicing 1st tube on site B

 Technicians have started Splicing on site A

 Technicians are done preparing the second cable into the joint and are now preparing cable on side B

 Technicians are on site preparing the second cable into the joint.  

 

Update (10/08/2025 @ 19:51):

 Repairs on hold due to safety reasons.

 

Update (10/08/2025 @ 18:08):

 Stringing almost done. One Team is busy preparing on 1st site.

 Technicians are on site stringing the cable.  

 

Update (10/08/2025 @ 15:05):

 Technicians are enroute to collect stock  

 

Update (10/08/2025 @ 14:09):

 Technicians have located the break and are currently working to resolve the issue. Further updates will be communicated as they become available .

 

Update (10/08/2025 @ 12:04):

 Possible outage has been identified, technicians are on site investigating fault. Next update at 2pm.
