Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Thohoyandou P West 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Vumatel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 08/06/2025 @ 08:03. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

We are following up with the fiber provider on the progress of the fault and will share progressive feedback as soon as possible.

We are awaiting ETA from openserve 
They should be able to provide after 06:00 with the new shift

Vendor techs are to provide current updates a delay is being experienced at the moment  

 

Update(08/06/2025 @ 01:45):

 WF REF : 21088886 – On retest of the link ,  the LOS on client port at VTYU cleared t 23:25. level incoming from client but no info/data.
Thus as per vendor (Openserve)
Awaiting feedback from reflex

Vendor engineer to retest the link and troubleshoot the issue with Vuma tech  

 

Update(07/06/2025 @ 21:12):

Vuma Technician have been dispatched to localise fault onsite.  

 

Update(07/06/2025 @ 20:20):

Feedback from Vendor: According to the Core team No optical input signal from client side at THOHOYANDOU 013-0-1-8, client to investigate.
