Fibresuburbs have updated us on the below:
FibreSuburb Networks have had an excellent response to the signups of the fibre to the home network
in the Thatchfield estate thus far, many homes are connected and are receiving decent throughput
speeds.
Unfortunately, we have experienced several delays in the installation of the backhaul fibre to the estate
and rather than delay the activation of services to the residents late last year, we were forced to install
a temporary wireless link. This connection has sufficed thus far but it is now reaching saturation (at
certain times in the day) and may cause some subscribers to experience slightly higher contention than
usual.
We have ordered the fibre backhaul link and it is being commissioned by the backhaul service provider
but there is a fair amount of civil work to be completed to have the connection installed to their
existing manhole, which is outside the estate.
We are confident should be live by early May 2021. Any earlier go-live dates will be communicated.
