Metro fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:

Metro fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Metrofibre confirmed that this outage was resolved on 01-10-2024 @ 17:30. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues.

While our MetroFibre team has been working diligently on the temporary repair, additional challenges on-site have unfortunately delayed our progress. As a result, the ETR has now been extended to 17:00 on 01/10/2024 (GMT+2).

Upon returning to site at 07:00, MetroFibre technicians had found no progress made by the Joburg Water team, with the constant flow of water hindering our ability to implement a permanent repair.
As a result, the decision has been made to proceed with a riskier, temporary repair to get your services back up as soon as possible.
The revised ETR due to this is 14:00 on 01/10/2024 GMT+2, however, we will work to ensure your service is restored as early as we can.
Following the temporary repair, a MetroFibre technician will remain on site to assist with protecting the MetroFibre infrastructure as the Joburg Water teams continue their own repairs.

Our team is still working to resolve the issue caused by municipal repairs in the area and assure you that we are working tirelessly around the clock to restore your service.
Due to the ongoing municipal work, teams have advised that we may see delays in the resolution of your link.
We'll continue to keep you updated on the status of the outage as we make progress, but based on what we know so far, we estimate the time for resolution is now 01/09/2024 at 12:00pm GMT+2.

Technicians are working hard to address the issue, which has been caused by Municipal Works.
The estimated time for resolution is currently Tuesday, 01st October 2024 at 08:00 GMT +2, but please keep in mind that this may change depending on the progress.
