Octotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

 

Start Date & Time: 30/04/2026 @11:39

Affected Area/s: Ruyterwacht, Andriaanse, Clarkes 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Octotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Update (04/05/2026 11:13):  

 Octotel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 30/04/2026 20:44. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues. 



Update (30/04/2026 @20:44): 
Octotel engineers have completed the fibre repair works. Please have those customers still offline reboot their ont and routers and retest the connection.

 

Update (30/04/2026 @18:50):  

Octotel engineers are still in progress with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

ETR for complete full Restoration is ± 1hour

 

Update (30/04/2026 @17:37):  

Octotel engineers are still in progress with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

ETR for complete full Restoration is ± 2 hours 

 

Update (30/04/2026 @ 16:33):  

Octotel engineers are still in progress with the fibre resplicing to restore connectivity to those affected customers.ETR for complete full Restoration is ± 3 hours.. More updates to follow. 

 

Update (30/04/2026 @14:39):

Octotel engineers have commenced with the repairs to restore connectivity to those affected customers.

ETR for complete full Restoration is ± 4 hours 

 

Update (30/04/2026 @12:35): 

Octotel's engineers are currently on-site, assessing the damage across our fibre infrastructure.

Once all the damage is pinpointed, they'll provide an estimated ETR for the full restoration process.
