Evotel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Evotel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Repairs are still ongoing and additional teams have been deployed to assist with restoration efforts across the affected areas. There is currently no electricity in parts of the area, which is contributing to the delays in restoration and maintenance activities impacting multiple sites in Rustenburg.

Our teams remain on site and continue working to restore services as quickly as possible once conditions allow. We sincerely apologise for the extended downtime and appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

The team is currently finalising the cable installation work in the Kloofview area with only two pilot holes remaining. An additional team is also actively tracing the fibre line in 9th Avenue as part of ongoing restoration efforts. Once this work has been completed, connectivity in the Geelhoutpark area is expected to be fully restored. However, in Oos-Einde. our team has identified a faulty splitter in the area which is currently affecting connectivity. The issue is being attended to as part of ongoing repair efforts to restore services as quickly as possible. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your continued patience and understanding.

Evotel teams remain on site and are continuing repair work in the Geelhoutpark and North area. Repairs are still actively underway as the team works through the remaining faults to ensure all impacted clients are fully restored and network stability is maintained. Work is actively underway to restore all remaining affected connections as quickly as possible. There is currently a power-related issue affecting parts of the area. Most clients have already been restored, and their technical team continues to work street by street to reconnect the remaining affected clients as quickly as possible. The ongoing power outages are currently limiting our ability to fully test some streets and confirm restoration in all affected areas.

Evotel technical team remains on site working to restore service to the affected clients. Additional teams have since been dispatched, and trenching operations are currently underway to repair the damaged cable that was identified. Once trenching has been completed, the team will proceed with splicing operations. The power disruption affecting the community has significantly delayed repair efforts, however, our teams will work through the evening to repair the damaged cable.
