Open Fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Openfibre confirmed that this outage was resolved on 29/07/2026 @ 11:23. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

Kindly be advised that the maintenance team is currently on-site and has identified a fibre disconnection approximately 0.890 km along the affected link.
The team is actively working on the repair. At this stage, no estimated time of restoration (ETR) has been provided. We will share further updates as soon as additional information becomes available.
Please note that this incident has been escalated to the EXCO teams of both Open Fibre and the upstream provider and continues to be treated with the highest priority. We remain committed to restoring the service as quickly as possible and will continue to provide regular progress updates.

Kindly be advised that the maintenance team has been notified and will be attending to the site.An estimated time of arrival has not yet been provided. We will confirm the ETA as soon as it has been shared with us.

Kindly note that due to access restrictions onsite the teams will not be able to attend to this tonight. Teams have also confirmed they are unable to test from the node itself due to safety concerns in the area. We have confirmed and arranged onsite access
for the technicians tomorrow morning at 08:00AM. Once teams are onsite tomorrow and testing we will then provide further feedback and updates.
