Progress: Service to the area is restoring. Details are currently delayed, but we do ask that all Newcastle residents still offline restart their routers if connection has not yet restored.

Technicians are moving along the feeder route, reducing the losses at several links. This will take time, but technicians will remain on site through the evening to continue work on these links.

Back-up measures are being investigated. We will keep the community updated, but we currently do not expect resolution until the late evening. Further delays will be communicated.

We currently expect extended downtime as no damage to infrastructure in Newcastle has been detected. Upstream service providers are investigating the infrastructure leading into Newcastle and we are awaiting updates from them. More information will be provided when available.
