Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Mount Edgecombe, Durban

Impact: Customers may experience no/slow/intermittent connectivity.

 

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Update (24/11/2025 08:11):

Vumatel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 23/11/2025 13:52. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues.

 

Update (19/11/2025 @ 12:58):

Update received is that the UPS and AVR will be delivered on Friday. Once received the equipment will be installed and feedback will be provided.

 

Update (19/11/2025 @ 08:09):

The team and the body corporate had agreed on a solution while still onsite, but the body corporate later declined it. Techs will now proceed with installing a new AVR & UPS and will confirm once the stock arrives today.

 

Update (17/11/2025 @ 11:48):

The body corporate meeting has been moved to 18 November. Further feedback will be provided once the meeting has been concluded.

 

Update (14/11/2025 @ 12:33):

Vumatel technicians are aware of the electricity concerns caused by a long cable. The voltage drops affecting users two to three times a day. A meeting has been arranged with the Body Corporate on 17 November 2025. Feedback will be provided after the meeting.
