Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area: Motherwell Zone 1

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 16:11):  

Vumatel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 04/04/2026 @ 16:11. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues. 

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 15:45):

 Vendor technician has started splicing the fiber.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 15:02):

Please note that the vendor technicians are busy preparing the first joint while the other team is busy trenching the other side. 

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 14:19):

 The vendor technicians are still busy trenching to get the slack.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 13:06):

 The team found no slack on both sides; the team is busy trenching to get the slack.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 12:04):

 Point of break has been located. Team is currently trenching to access slack.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 11:14):

 Please note that the team found the fiber break at 356 meters from the POP.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 10:36):

 Please note that services are affected due to multiple LM fiber breaks.
The team is en route to investigate the fault, ETA 30 mins.  

 

Update (04/04/2026 @ 09:31):

Vumatel  Our teams are investigating the fault. They will follow this up with the corrective action to be taken to resolve it.
