Open Fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Mall of the South

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Open Fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Open Fibre confirmed that this outage was resolved on 24/06/2025 @ 23:16. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues.

Kindly note that we are pending confirmation as to the arrival of the Floater's.

Feedback will be shared once confirmation has been received.

Kindly note that further repairs are still in progress, and further feedback will be shared. We have requested an ETR and will be sure to share this once it's made available.

Please be advised that Joburg Water has completed its repairs. Fibre repair work will now commence, and progressive updates will be shared as the work progresses.

Kindly note that JHB Water is on site working to repair the leaking water pipe. Unfortunately, no ETR has been provided for the completion of their work at this time.

Our technicians are on standby and will only be able to proceed with repairing the fibre break once the pipe has been fully sealed and the area is declared safe for work.

We are actively monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as soon as new information becomes available.
