Openfibre is currently experiencing the following issue:  

 

Start Date & Time: 28/01/2026 @ 17:52 

Affected Area: Lowveld Mall 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Openfibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (28/01/2026 @ 22:02):  

 Openfibre  confirmed that this outage was resolved on 28/01/2026 @ 22:02. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues. 

 

Update (28/01/2026 @ 19:26): 

Please note that Openfibre Tech tested the fibre is failing at 79 km towards Sekororo from MH10A,

Team is at point of break, fiber break due to contractor working on fixing water pipe, more update to follow

 

Update (28/01/2026 @ 19:20): 

Kindly be advised that Openfire's Vendor is still investigating the cause of this outage, Openfire have followed up for progressive updates they will share as they are received.
