Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity at some point during maintenance.

Due to repeated faults at the hand hole the weakspot has become a high risk which may create a network catastrophic failure during peak business hours or anytime of the day. The DFA teams need to urgently cut the DFA route cables:NW03P01 cable1-2,TIE144F TO NW03P01D3,ACC 72F and ACC 24F inside hand hole:NH260016 into a bigger joint to improve network stability and efficiency when building new circuits in the future. The current joint is very congested and any work inside the hand hole may affect the circuits mentioned below negatively. Due to the condition of the joint and amount(2x F144, 2x F72, 3x F24 access, 1x F72 access and 1x tie F144) of fibres affected, with the scope of work that needs to be implemented the team requires an extended time to complete the change.Location: Kock Street, Rustenburg, North West 0299 .
