Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:  

 

Start Date & Time: 21/05/2026 @ 07:20 

Affected Area: Hayfields

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (25/05/2026 11:26):  

 Vumatel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 22/05/2026 20:56. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues



Update (22/05/2026 @ 13:55):
Vumatel teams will carry out an audit in preparation for the cutover, while the civil team will manage the cable floating activities.

A progress update has been requested from the Vumatel vendor, they are currently awaiting feedback which will be shared as soon as received.

As per Vumatel vendor: noted they are awaiting feedback from the garage and clients to get permission to open up where the temp joints are located. Vumatel Techs will be back on site in the am to check if they are able to get permission.

Vumatel has advised that the vendor is currently awaiting access to be granted on the client’s side in order to proceed with further investigation.

Update (21/05/2026 @ 14:30):
Vumatel is following up with the fibre provider on the progress of the fault and will share further feedback as soon as possible.

Vumatel has advised that their Testing site:pmb node Panel info:0df01 row07 f7-8 Fd on lable :5.314km F1 fd with splitter (heavy bend at 2.6km 2.3db loss) F2 fd with splitter (heavy loss at 2.6km 3.3db loss)
