Metro Fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:  

 

Start Date & Time: 17/04/2026 @06:34

Affected Area/s: Zwide, New Brighton

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Metro Fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (19/04/2026 @ 08:57):  

Metro Fibre confirmed that this outage was resolved on 19/04/2026 @ 08:57. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues. 

 

Update (17/04/2026 @18:30):  

Metro Fibre estimate that it will now take approximately 7 hours to repair the remaining services due to the extent of damage caused by vandalism.  

 

Update (17/04/2026 @ 12:25):  

We want to assure you that we are continuously working hard to restore services, and we will keep you updated on our progress.
