Open fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Open fibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 

Update (08/11/2025 @09:37):

Open Fibre teams are back on-site splicing the fibre cable, no ETR is available yet but will be provided when confirmed.

 

Update (07/11/2025 @ 16:52):

Kindly note that all work has been temporarily halted due to the current weather conditions and expected thunderstorm. The work environment is severely impacted by the rain, given the location of the break. Please note that work will resume once the environment has been assessed and deemed safe to continue. . More updates to follow.

Kindly note that the Openfibre Civil team has completed their work, and 11 cables have been damaged. The splicing team is currently prepping, and splicing will begin. Once all work has been completed, testing will take place to ensure that the site has been restored.  At the current moment, there is no ETR available due to the extent of the damage, and we will be sure to share further progressive updates on the splicing as they become available.

Kindly note the ETR for the Civils teams work is 1.5 hours ahead of schedule , thereafter floating can commence as well as the splicing, updated ETR will be shared once civils work have been completed

Kindly note the ETR for the Openfibre Civils teams' work is 6 hours, thereafter floating can commence as well as the splicing. An updated ETR will be shared once civil work has been completed

Open fibre technicians have located a fibre break, technicians are on-site and awaiting the floating team to float a new fibre cable. Further updates to follow.
