Metrofibre is currently experiencing the following issue:  

 

Start Date & Time: 16/05/2026 @ 14:22 

Affected Area/s: Centurion 

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity. 

 

Affected areas:

 

  • Midknight Valencia
  • Heuwelsig Retirement Village

Metrofibre technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment. 

 

Update (17/05/2026 @ 08:38):

Metrofibre confirmed that this outage was resolved on 16/05/2026 @ 18:04. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team at 010 593 2665 or support@coolideas.co.za should you still experience connection issues.

 

Update (16/05/2026 @ 15:37):

Metrofibre technicians want to assure you that they are continuously working hard to restore services, and will keep you updated on our progress.

They estimate that it will take approximately 5 hours to repair the services due to the extent of damage caused.
