Metro fibre is currently experiencing the following issue:

Affected Area/s: Bloemhof Free Standing Houses, North West
Impact: Customers will experience no connectivity.
Update (05/10/2023 @ 18:25). Metrofibre technicians confirmed that the dual fibre links providing services to Bloemhof, Christiana, Klerksdorp, Umzumbi, Elysium, Scotsborough, Howick, Pietermaritzburg and Durban have been damaged and may impact the resilience of our network. Although it's unlikely that services will be disconnected, customers may experience slower than normal internet speeds due to congestion on the back up routes.
Technicians are actively monitoring the issue and they are working with the 3rd party network providers to resolve the matter. We will keep you updated about the progress.
