Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

 

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

Vumatel confirmed that this outage was resolved on 09/12/2025 23:19. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues.

 

Vendor has resolved parent incident restoring our services  

Update (09/12/2025 @17:08):

Technicians have started splicing and are working on the first tube  

 

Update (09/12/2025 @14:28):

Due to the severity of the break, teams are currently on-site working to restore services. They will provide further updates at 17:00  

 

Update (09/12/2025 @12:28):

Technicians are opening the area at the break point and tracing slack in the adjacent manholes 

 

Update (09/12/2025 @11:03):

Vumatel technicians have investigated and confirmed that the break was caused by a contractor drilling through the cable outside Portside. Further updates to follow 

 

Update (09/12/2025 @ 10:32):  

Vumatel technicians have arrived on site and are now investigating the fault.

Vumatel technicians are on route to investigate.
