Vumatel is currently experiencing the following issue:

Impact: Customers may experience no connectivity.

Vumatel technicians are currently investigating. There is no ETR at the moment.

 Services have restored to normal. Please restart your devices and contact our Support Team should you still experience connection issues

The reboot has been completed. We are monitoring the recovery and traffic levels.

We need to perform an emergency reboot of the core router at Teraco as part of the troubleshooting process. 

This will be done at 22h00 and all services will drop at this time for approximately 30 minutes. Further feedback will be provide post reboot.

 Kindly request end users to reset their CPE devices to restore services if they are still experiencing no connectivity. Vendor has confirmed that overall traffic has increased and is stable.

We had to perform an emergency reboot of the distribution switch at the aggregation pop. The reboot has been completed. Some areas have not yet restored. Vendor engineers are investigating.

 Electrical work has been completed and the mobile generator is connected. We are monitoring for stability.

 The faulty alternator cannot be replaced at this time due to the scope of work. The mobile generator deployed to site requires some electrical work to be done before it can be used and the electrical team is preparing for this.  . More updates to follow.

 It appears that the municipal power feed is fluctuating which is causing the flapping. We are re-deploying the mobile generator to site to stabilise services . More updates to follow.

 We are seeing flaps from the aggregation pop to the other pops connected to it. Technicians are investigating.  . More updates to follow.

Root cause is Power > batteries depleted and the alternator on the onsite generator is sending a low voltage and therefore not running 
Mobile generator is enroute. ETA 10h05
