From Metro Fibre
These catastrophic weather conditions have subsequently damaged our fibre cables and
have resulted in connectivity issues in New Germany and Tongaat.
We want to inform you that we are implementing a temporary solution to restore your fibre
connectivity within the next two weeks. Once we have implemented this temporary solution
you can continue to experience reliable fibre internet.
A permanent repair will be implemented in approximately three months however this is
subject to the municipality’s road repairs where our fibre cables are installed.
MetroFibre empathises with all affected residents resulting from the destructive flooding. We
will endeavour to restore your services as soon as possible.MetroFibre is currently experiencing the following outage:
